Une enzyme digestive issue de la papaye

La papaïne provient du fruit du papayer (Carica papaya), un arbre originaire d’Amérique latine. Un mode de récolte simple mais efficace

La papaïne est issue d’une récolte assez simple. La partie la plus riche en enzyme est le fruit : la papaye.

La récolte de la papaïne consiste à inciser l’écorce d’une papaye encore verte afin d’en extraire le latex (sorte de fluide situé entre l’écorce et la chair du fruit. Celui-ci est ensuite séché puis réduit en poudre, conservant ainsi son activité enzymatique ¹ .

Contre-indications et effets indésirables éventuels
